How often do I need a patch test?
It is recommended that you have a patch test done every 6 months due to changes in hormones that can affect the way your skin reacts to different products. You are also advisable to inform of any changes in medication or topical products that could also affect the way your skin reacts to things.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a patch test even though I've had the same treatments done before elsewhere?
Yes, a patch test is required at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, if you do not come for a patch test your treatment can't go ahead due to the risk of a reaction. Even if you have had the same treatments done elsewhere, salons often use slightly different brands of products that may contain slightly different ingredients.
Do I need to pay a deposit and when?
I only ask for deposits to be paid during extremely busy periods such as christmas. Deposits will be required at the time of booking your appointment, and are fully refundable if you cancel before 24 hours of your appointment.
Will I get my deposit back?
If you have paid a deposit for a treatment and you need to cancel your appointment within the cancellation period you will receive your deposit back. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment your deposit will be held but can be used against another treatment if you reschedule at the time of cancellation, if you chose not to reschedule, you may lose your deposit. If you fail to show for your appointment without any notification you will lose your deposit.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment I ask for at least 24 hours notice. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time you may be required to pay a cancellation fee, however if you reschedule at the time of cancellation you will not be charged. Deposits may be required during certain times of the year, please see below for more information about deposits.
